I thought somewhere in the thread, power supplies from lap-tops/computers were mentioned. Being old, I often get confused. I'm building adjustable power stations for my track using the power supply I mentioned , a variable voltage control, adjustable braking and a voltage readout meter. With the enclosure, it cost me around $80/each x 4, but I'm extravagant that way.
