1979 Alpine A 310
Posted: Sun Mar 17, 2013 1:01 pmAlpine A 310 Heller Model on a scratch built chassis. The running parts are from SCX Compact Tuner. Paint scheme is fictional. Decals from the kit are 1979 Monte Carlo Rally.
This was a challenging build as the model left little room and the axles set very low in the model. The wheels just fit inside the wells (original wheels were a bit smaller than the SCX wheels). I had to tilt the motor to get it to fit the low axles, which are level with the bottom of the body. This caused me to paint the windows black and leave out the interior. I need to decide what I want to the wheels covers...
