I'm right there with you, Roland. Don't have as many as you do, but I'm crazy about these little devils. Addictive, fun little cars. :)

Yes, I have'em all so far (except the Japan only cars) and I have to pinch myself, to remind myself how cool it is to have REAL slot cars in this scale! I do wish they would do something about the stock tires, they are O.K. when new, but after a few months they start to get slicker and slicker. Sanding helps, but they are just Too hard!

You have a great collection, Roland. They are super cars.
ASCW will be a Gel Claws dealer for real soon. Tires in stock, in other words, and we think you will find them to be very good! And good looking. :D

At first I was against the dslot- high price, maybe a flash in the pan? But after getting a couple then running them I have to say I am impressed. They seem to have taken it where scx was heading, basically like mas pointed out, these are real deal slot cars! Now everybody in my 1/32 club has at least 1.
Looking forward to getting some of the newer releases along with a few dnano bodies. Maybe if we push hard enough they'll start pumping out some muscle, can-am, rally and other stuff us slot heads love... never hurts to dream, right :banana-rock:

I have a few "custom" DSlot43s. These are my 917s. The 917lh did not make the photo shoot. LOL

Can the Dslot43 chassis be modified to mount under bodies with different wheelbases? Do they have guide flags or guide pins?
Anyone use them on a no-magnet wood track?

The Dslots run O.K. on wood and all mine have the stock tires (Except one). NOw I originally painted my tack with a textured paint that offers a little better grip, but it's just about worn smooth over the last few years. I found the aftermarket tires work better for a few laps, until they get a layer of dust on them and then they are about the same as the stock ones! They are much quieter though!! I run my Dslots @ about 11 volts, most of my other cars (like my SCX Compacts) run better around 10 Volts, but the D-slots have a bigger heavier motor.

Hmm.
I might get inspired to try one. Anyone know the rpm's for the stock and optional motors. I have the gearing numbers but not the motor. I read somewhere the Porsche may come already with uprated one? I'm thinking the green/orange Mazda. With some different tires.

Mike, I use the Mazda 787b and the 956 on wood tracks with Paul Gage tires, and they're just great to drive. No need for a hotter motor.
In fact, much of the time it isn't really necessary to swap tires, but their compound seems to be a bit inconsistent. Switching to Pual Gage makes everything nice and consistent, and they run great together. :)

Kurt,
OK. They offer high grip "rubber" tires so maybe I'll get some of those included in the shipping box. I don't have a 1/43 car so I thought..... and the orange/green is quite pretty.
