They must have dusted off a Concorde to get your cars here so quick, Lloyd :) A couple did get all shook up in Memphis, but the Groom Lake ground crew is sorting the damage out. Gonna be wicked hot this weekend

I wished I had gotten Maj Bill's car done in time.
Have a great time Marc, and good luck to all!

Great to see the Mini made it in time, too! Awesome speed on the pond crossing, Lloyd! That has been either the Concorde or Lloyd had some connections to a SR-71 pilot ...
Now the REAL suspense is starting :D
Looking forward to the pics, i already see a new desktop picture coming ...

Shipping to/from the UK is not nearly the trial that shipping to Europe/Austria is! When I used to buy 1/32 slots from there, I would get them in 8 Days or less! Not 8 weeks! :-(
Might be something to consider for future events, Ship to/from the UK with two UK events and have the european stages sandwiched in between!!!??? Just need 2 people in the UK to host!

That could be a possibility Mas, There are not many of us who race 1/43 in the UK, but when I was discussing a Tour of Britain proxy event there were a few offers to host. I think it will depend on which type of racing the proxys are for.

Sure Lloyd, I was just saying that I am guessing that shipping from the UK to Austria does not take that long??? Right??? So if we shipped to UK first then Europe, then came back via the UK, it might speed things up a bit. Last time I sent a car to Peter it took over 2 months to get there! (came back pretty fast though!!)

I agree Mas, I tend to leave things to the last minute, and the last one I sent to Peter got there next day. I use couriers but, if it was a whole grid of proxy cars, it would probably be the most cost effective way anyway.

As you can all see, my cars are/were nowhere near complete when I had to get them posted. I want to thank Marc for all the extra work he has put into getting them ready to run.
They will be coming back to me for some finishing before the next stage, but I am very pleased to see them on groom lake. Now, let the racing begin!
Regards, Lloyd

I was excited to see these pics, not only for the great cars but the cars ON the track. This is one of my all-time favorite builds and the field looks worthy!

awesome pictures, Marc! I want to see some more of the Datto! The "around and down" is now my desktop picture :)
Looks like we got a nice field together, thanks to Lloyd and you! Take care on the wheels inserts of the GTV, they are heavy to be found again if lost ;)
Lloyd, nice cars!!! the Escort is my favourite!
Cheers,
Peter
