Cartronic!
A German brand that appears to be only available over there. I bought a couple of their 1/32 cars about 10 years ago and I can concur with the general consensus which is that they are pretty cheap AND have low build quility. They don't turn out allot of new models and I really have no idea when they jumped into 1/43, but they have done 1/24 & 1/32 for quite a while!
Check out the 1/43 line:
http://cartronic.eu/de/Autorennbahnen/C ... /FahrzeugeJust looking @ the pictures it's obvious the F-1 cars are not worth a second look and proportions on some of the others are iffy at best, BUT the Audi and the E-type jag look like they have potential!? :banana-rock: Maybe Peter can inform us or do some fact finding when he gets back from Greece!?? :banana-rock: Might be worth the cost of admission just for the E-type bodies! :?:

The Plot thickens!!
In an effort to find out more about these; specifically what the chassis is like I did a little googling and found this!!!
http://bw-slot.de/neue-bw-slot/bahnsyst ... 8-kurztestNOw what makes this really interesting (at least to me) is that I have always believed Cartronic to be alow quality step sister to Carrera, The graphics and many of other factors lead one to think that. NOW, That chassis has . . . Wait for it . . . A rotating guide!!!! Wha???????? :o These things get more intriging by the second!!! :ugeek:

And 13 volt motor's, when can we get some to try I wonder?
Just checked the carriage charges and they would cost me a lot more than a Dslot!

A Translation Via Bablefish, but it's not dated!? Says something about Christmas, so maybe this last year???
A:He has me very excited this Audi R8 by Cartronic but then for the same train a whole buy would be me, now shortly after Christmas, but too heavy.
Luckily I could buy now one in Exchange for an SCX Audi, unfortunately only silver variant but what solls :)
First on the track, just in case SCX Nivau lowered and los gings, quickly fixed the electricity to 13 volts, "Da goes mehr" and so was over 15 Volts until first tried to 18 volts. "
Carrera go level it was already slowly interesting but departures were rare, even at 18 volts, which went go quite well if time apart from technical weaknesses of sheet metal pantograph, which pass the implementation of controls on your car only in bucking.
This Audi is as good to drive, two is located next to the rotating guide keel mainly to the bonded magnets. A front and one behind the engine. The very wide wheel gauge certainly also contributes to high driving stability. Tyres - Silkonartig - to give good adhesion.
The optics is befitting for such a car made in the far East, say it blows one of the attention to detail made not from the stool but it recognizes at least what should it be for a car.
The processing is very robust, the body is held with four screws on the lower chassis, over the engine to the rear axle, there are then added an upper deck of chassis.
Conclusion: The car keeps the expectations of what I put into it, allows large scope for the realization of some craft activities

if you´re still interested, Mas, i could try to contact them.
the Jag´s where not widely available and they did not look that well. the AMT kits look way better, but of course, they need a custom chassis and paint job.
