Andreas "Stovebolt" Panpandrea, the hefty gent near the Coke machine, is standing amid the scraps he cut to make a ubiquitous speedway giveaway Ford coupe into a 1936 Chevy coupe. In addition to massaging the body panels, Papandrea also fashioned a new B-pillar to give the car that GMC flavor and built an inline six motor. Lil' Tourquey Pistons and Perfect Circle will sponsor the car.




Only four of the dozen coupes are still in the bone yard; most have been cut down or swapped.

Hoos, funny you should mention the Chevy sedans--Andreas was looking over my blocks of basswood with the same goal, and perhaps the buck will stop here. I'll let ya know!

Dredging up an old thread here ;) But can anyone tell me, Where to get, or if someone could sell me, one of these plastic Jalopy Coupe toys seen in this photo....

I really see alot of potential in these toy bodies, as seen in Nerbarz remake into a late 60's era Modified coupe.

I Just ordered TWO of the unpainted bodies for $4.95 each ! But note, in my conversation with the site owner, he told me he is headed out for a one week vacation in the morning, and I JUST got my order in -in time, and will be shipped in the morning, otherwise, there will be a one week delay in shipping...

I've been messin' with 1/43 lately... only because I've gotten stuff to use for pennies ! Anyway.... I just got those Jalopy toys today, ordered them on Friday and they were Shipped FAST ! Jury is still out on them, as they are really cheap and flimsy and rough, look like they may have been made on a 3D Printer too ! But, they are light weight, and will be adapted to Slot Body usage- even tho they are a little large (1/36 scale?) for 1/43, so the wheelbase is an issue....ie- with the chassis('56 Ford Truck) seen under one, being the longest 1/43 chassis I own ! ..But my stuff is all Artin and cheaper Chinese junk....it's not Carrera, SCX, Ninco, etc.....which do have longer(but wider) chassis on their True 1/43 cars.
