Well as luck would have it I finally had some good luck. As I stated in my first post here I was looking to get my nephews a new slat car set and as such began looking at the Disney Pixar set ups...first off because well I think they are just really cool looking and can keep the kids attention. While getting a lot of great replies here and researching further on the net, I was showing my oldest nephew what I was planning to get his younger brothers, and he goes that's cool they will like it and then he saw the Carrera Go!! Spider-man Manhattan Madness set, and goes while the cars theme is cool the spiderman is even "cooler" LOL....so back to scouring the net for good prices and finding the set in stock somewhere so I could get a hold of it.....

Well at work on Wednesday I had to go help a co-worker get some security video from the local hobby lobby (craft and hobby store) and while going back to the managers office I come across the Manhattan Madness set new in box still nice and sealed on sale 47.99......so out the door it has gone and it is sitting in the closet at home waiting eagerly to be opened and played with on Christmas morning...so now I can go look for and get them more cars and some track pieces for the new set...definite score in my book...

Speaking of the holiday I have been trying to use UR3.X in an effort to design a track layout beyond what the picture on the box has...I have gone through the help files and have not found a way to set border size limits or how make sure I am staying with the border I have set for myself. I am basically looking at 4X8 to 5X9 size....

If I could figure that out and put the border in I can design the track and make sure I have the necessary pieces when it gets put together. I have been searching the forum here for a semi-in depth tutorial on how to do this to no avail.

Hi Ron. Welcome to 1/43. I used U.R. to design my track(s) (only 1 done so far). I was able to place my cursor on the edge of the track at 1 end and a measurement would appear in the bottom bar, when I moved the cursor to the other end another measurement would appear and I just did the math. IIRC each square is a 1/2m. Another thing that might help is that Go track is 4.5" wide, each full length straight is 342mm or approx. 13.5",and a R1 90 corner is 9" so a 180deg. R1 bend will be 18" dia. The other thing that I discovered is that in a complex layout, U.R. has some discrepancies with reality
