I have made some progress with my Pronomag car, but these photos have shown me just how much body prep there is still to do before the paint goes on!

More as I get it done.

Hey Lloyd,
Excellent work. The chassis is amazing!!!
Cool choice for the body, too.
I'm looking forward to the finish product!
Thanks for sharing,
Greg

Very nice work, Lloyd, i like your chassis design and the work, too! It looks great! Also the body looks great, really nice casting!
But for sure the best part - how the body sits on the chassis. It looks really great and i know it will be fast. I think there will be some serious competion! Should the 917 be a good match for the Lola? Hm...

That's a wood track car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lib and I were talking, and I said I was going to sheet styrene again and doing my own digital magnet chassis. Brass is what non-mag needs.
Love Lola T70 coupes, too! :D

I love those Lolas. Got a couple from EF. Like the brass chassis too. Wonder how a DSlot 917 would do against something like that. I noticed Peter mentioned 917 but I'd bet he's talking one of his chassis. LOL

Thanks all, all I have to do now is finish it in time"
Chuck, this is my first attempt with brass for 45 years, so I have no idea if it will work! Last year I used one of Steve's Aluminum sidewinder chassis that I had already wrecked by bending it too much, so I glued it back together and it won! It is still in the first 2 in a French proxy that has had about 70 races so far, with more to come! That chassis is amazing! But a lot of my cars are narrower than the Beta, so I set about using a similar design, but in thin brass to reduce the width. Will it work? We will have to wait and see!
Bill, Jaak Beenjees, a fantastic 1/24 and 1/32 thingy builder and 1/43 newcomer, is entering 2 Dslots, one nearly stock, and 1 with a brass chassis, it will be interesting to see how they go. The 917 that Peter mentioned is Ted's Womp chassis'd one that won the ISP 43. If I even get a podium this time it would be a pleasant surprise!
Regards, Lloyd

Ted´s womp 917 - the ultrawide version - will be a good race partner, too, but i was talking about this one:

But the scratchbuild chassised DSlot 917 could also be a good tip - just to see a comparison to Jaak´s DSlot copy.

Peter actually won the two race series, ISP43. My McLaren got a win and fast time at Peter's track but did not do so well on my track.
Clear as mud, right?
Cheers Ted
