I have a full size wired Dremel that is a pain to use so I love my 2 cordless MiniMites because they just sit on my desk. Doing all these Shapeways chassis cars I sometimes need to do a lot of bit changing and with the bits, sometimes. for smaller drill bits, the collets too. I found some nice 8000-20,000rpm(10 speed)cordless online. They come with standard 1/8" collets and other size Dremel collets fit(I tried). They also come with the charger and a package with 3 large sanding drums.

Bill, I have a couple of those; One I got @ Harbor freight, Same thing just a different color and another I got @ A discount tool place by my house for about $23. The harbor freight one broke about a week after i got it, when I dropped it on the floor (light drop too not a big impact, Can't tell you how many times I have dropped my Dremel with no ill effects) the other I have not really used too much. Niether of the one's I had have nearly as much power as my Dremel brand cordless's did. My problem with Dremel is they are always redesigning their tools, So by the time your battery poops out you pretty much have to buy a whole new tool, because the batteries are sooo expensive! Right now my main tool is a Flexshaft Foredom. Those little black Dremels are hard to beat, not allot of power, but simple Nicad's & they go forever!!!
