As I ponder the durability of the popsicle frames re fig-8 racing, I may go with styrene strip. Of course, I could always laminate the p-sticks for extra strength. Since speed is not a major issue in the fig-8s, the sacrifice for "bullet-proofness" is inconsequential. Uncle Sal is working on the Solid Works CAD plans as we speak.

SolidWorks Plans? have the chassis printed in 3D by Shapeways. The material is very durable! should be great for fig.8 racing.
