1st car was a 1965 Chevy II Nova, reason I got it was my dad gave it to me on my 15th birthday, it had no motor, trany, wheels,or tires, and had been sitting in the weeds for 5 years after my sister blew the motor.
He told me that I would need a car to drive since I could not drive his. On my 16th birthday I got Tags and drove it :music-rockout:
had it for years but it sat for a long time when I was in the Army, traded it for a old show truck and a Honda 450 motorcycle

1960 Chevy Impala 348 with tri power. Got it from my Dads boss who owned a sand and gravel company. The 348 was the same motor the smaller dump trucks had in them. This Impala was one of those weird cars that never burned a drop of oil.

Caravelle, eh? Very interesting first car. :)
1978 Pontiac LeMans for me, with a piddly 6 cylinder. Maroon with white vinyl seats, no AC, and one of those cootie bugs on the dashboard. There was a ridge that ren the length of the dashboard, so with the cootie's legs on either side of the ridge, it slid across the dashboard whenever I took corners quickly. It was my cootie g-meter. Had 93,000 on the clock when I bought it for 600 bucks, sold it for 600 bucks about 4 years later.

68 (I think) Impala. Sweet 4 door ride, cream color, clean, forget the motor size, small V8 with a powerglide transmission. $500. Lady killer for sure! Sold it to a friend for $500 a while later when I had to upgrade to a 71 Dodge Challenger. He backed into a telephone pole about 2 days after he got it, huge dent in the rear quarter, somehow my brother ended up with it sometime later. His wife is backing out the driveway the way our parents taught us, you know holding the driver door open and leaning out looking down the side of the car, she hooked the window unit air conditioner with the door, tore the AC and the window out, and sprung the door where it wouldnt close. I saw him driving it with a rope tying it closed and got a big kick out of that. He didnt think it was that funny.

1969 Dart Swinger 340 auto trans. Paid $1700.00 for it in 1973 with 45,000mi. on the clock. 12.5:1cr solid cam motor added in 76. Returned to stock in 80 and sold in 81. It's still in the area and occasionally shows up at local show and shines.

72 vega gt the one with the split bumper like the ol Z28's had.
4cyl,4spd it would spin 1st 2nd and chrip 3rd got tired of the 4 banger when I found out you could shove a small or big block in it.
just happen to be rebuilding a 327 out of a 65 chevelle when I got the idea of stuffing it in the vega with a v8 conversion kit from hooker.
kept it for five yrs then sold it for 2000.00 to my cousin who got t boned in blackburg, va and I got it of my granddad for working on his farm.
