Finally i found the time to design a chassis that will use Go!components. Wheels and crown gear do not have to be removed to be used in this chassis. After pre-assembly, the axle holes need to be drilled out with a drill bit fitting the Go! axles size (2.2 or 2.3mm, i have to try this)
Motor and axles are fixed by screws (M2 or kyosho screws or similar size)

wheel base, front/rear width, chassis width and height of the body plate can be specified.

Rear body mounting is optional, normally the chassis will come without it. Mounting the body on the side is working better for driving.

One thing that i´m quite proud of: the height of the magnet can be adjusted by screws (a little similar to the deslots). In this way the downforce can be adjusted.

The chassis will fit all go!tires, from a Mini (15mm) up to the old corvette wheels (20mm)

Very well designed chassis Peter. What is the chassis going to be made of? I've read somewhere (correct me if I'm wrong) in this forum about you doing blue printing and I have seen on TV on a bigger scale how it was done and it's truly amazing. I'd like to see the chassis when done and would like to try one in the future.

Martin, i let them print on a rapid prototyping printer @ shapeways. there are some different printing methods for different materials. For chassis, i always order the "white, strong and flexible". there is more info on the shapeways website.

Does the guide use standard braid and ferrules?

Hello Peter,

What is minimum and maximum measurement of the entire chassis from front of guide holder to rear of chassis?

What is the size of the section of the guide that fits down into the slot of the track?

Sorry for all the questions but I will be doing something a little different with them!

Really looking forward to them.
