I am writing this on my Kindle HDX (with keyboard) that Linda got me as a surprise gift--no pressure for her upcoming birthday--so I can now bring my camera to the Nerf Fab Shoppe diorama rather than the other way around. BTW, I discovered some scale rubber tyres with fine plastic wheels at the local hobby shop's science project section. The Stevems International products are 11mm, just the right size for my 1/43 Heller Mini Coopers. I also picked up[ some 18mm set ups which size perfectly to normal sized 1/43 vehicles.
Also stumbled upon some Dollar Tree metal Erector Set-type shapes which look like the will serve as frame extenders and motor brackets. Check out the bottom shelf of your local DT for this kind of mini-robot kit.

Noooo! You can't go post modern on us! All us old farts have to stick together. Luddites forever! I don't even use an electric typewriter. The kids today have actually reverted to our ways. They call it Steam Punk, but we are right at home.

I once wood-grained a computer tower for a friend with luddite tendancies. Mouse too. Came up a treat.
Vinyl has made a grand return. Perhaps pen and paper will too.

I think I can still lay my hands on some reel to reel gear at my parent's place.
Alas, I don't have a turntable myself. Well, not unless one counts the portable gramaphone.
