1/43 TIRES

So... What aftermarket tires are good to use for 'recreational' running of the Carrera NASCAR racers?
I'll be running on standard Carrera and SCX plastic tracks.
Any reasonably priced slip on type silicones should do, same as I use on my HO cars for the past 50 years, I'm guessing.

Thanks -- Ernie

contact Cjent (from AmericanSlotCarWorld, see links on top of page) for Carrera tires.
i don´t know if you has silicone tires, as most of us prefer PU tires. maybe there are yellow dog tires available (they are silicones).
you can also try JelClaw tires, but they are rubber (not silicone and not PU).
CarGo from Germany has great PU tires, too.

You may also want to contact Paul Gage if you are interested in running urethane verses silicon (less dust sensitive) I had an email discussion with him about tires for the Carrear Go Nascar cars back when we were running the Mini proxy, as I sourced the tires for my entry from one (those factory tires definitely turned out to be less than optimal in the traction department) At that time, he stated that he was looking at possibly offer those in the future, but since there hasn't been a date set for the next go around of Autograss Minis, I haven't followed up with him - may be worth dropping him a line since his eBay page lists a couple different 1/43 offerings (http://stores.ebay.com/Pauls-Slot-Car-S ... 7675.l2563)
Happy hunting!

10-4 guys, thanks for the info. I've got a connection for the Gel Claws, I've used them on the HO stuff as well.
Just wanted to get some feedback from people who've used these cars before.
Like I said, this will just be for "fun running" at a friend's place.

Thanks again... Ernie
