Jouef slot cars,the French Conection..

Hey guys,I've became interested in the little jewels form viewing Kev's site, jouefslotcars.freeforums.org
They were made in France ,marketed in France and the UK back in the 60's up thru the 70's.Cars are about 1/40 scale and just cool to look at and run..The guide flag really makes these non-mag cars track very well.It moves with the front wheels.The inside running gear is a work of art..At this time I have two.Here is the best looking and running car.Rear tires are after market..Just thought I would share another part of our great hobby..

I raced a set of these at a friend's house in Germany. It was that exact car, except his dad had added Ferrari decals and clear coated it so he "wouldn't mess it up". They were fun cars. He had a fairly good sized layout. The other car was a Lotus with winglets on the nose.

They are some cool cars.I found my two on e-bay.They very seldom come up on this side of the pond though.There are several on the French site,though I don't speak the lango..
David,cool story..Some of our friends over there really have large layouts,with several cars..

great layout Kev,over the years I`ve had a few of these cars,some ran some didn`t,ended up trading them off or parting them out!

Yeah. More often than not these cars need a little TLC to get them going again. But the effort is well worth while.
