Moosgummi is the German word for sponge rubber, such as the popular ( natural ) "fish rubber" like Parma Tuna or Alpha Piranha or others. Of course it means the synthetic sponge like the mostly used orange one, too. But this needs glueing tyre and track ( Wing Cars ).

N.b.: This is the most useless method to make tyres I've seen in my long slotracing life.
On one hand sponge rubber is used which is soft and elastic, and on the other hand it gets a hard seam by the cement - no matter which - that will by all means stay harder than the sponge.
There are so many sponge donuts on the market ( for 32nd and bigger ) that it is a really useless method. Besides that the basic material used is synthetic and has only limited grip w/o chemical treatment.
You can do what you like, PU is the best material because it is most universal.
And btw - I use a caliper and the old geometric circumference formula to find out the circumference of the wheel...
