Little jewel,Jouef Ferrari 250 GTO

Well I'm a happy Boy.Just received this beautiful Jouef Ferrari 250 GTO from my French connection thru England.Thank you my friend..My pictures don't do it justice..Beautiful deep Ferrari red..One of the best looking 250's I've seen,any scale..The craftsmanship that went into these cars is amazing..
This was a 1971 model,later version with braids.Still has the front steering..Too bad Jouef is out of Business.I can see these becoming habit forming..

great looking lil ride,I love those front steering chassis,I got one somewhere and molded the front part of the chassis on to an ARTIN REAR with a VINTAGE (37 FORD BODY) modified wild looking lil dude on the track!

i have been collecting these for a couple of decades now. there used to be an american distributor up until the late 80's. i think it was polks hobbies in new york. there has to be some of these cars around in the u.s . you can get lost on that jouef website. there is a guy that gets 1/43 models and slices them up and fattens them up to 1/40. it has to be seen to be believed. spectacular builds. only proves that if you really love a scale you will do anything to achieve any model you desire.

Just a small point about Rustys GTO. You will notice it only has one yellow Ferrari decal. The other one is not missing - Jouef were so cost conscious they only put one on each car!

They are really good looking. I left 1/32d slot racing for a while in the late 60's and came back in '74 with HO, then left again in the Mid 80's until 2004 with 1/43d. I really missed the Jouef in the US. I see now I really missed something. :(
