Jouef Porshe 911 on the Christmas layout,Video added

Well Santa arrived early this month with a great running and looking Jouef Porshe 911..Thanks Santa!!
I really owe ya now..This car came out between 73 and 76 and was one of jouef's most popular cars of the time..This one has been totally re-furbished and would be one of the best examples one could find..
It arrived just in time to do some laps on our Christmas layout ..This time of year we get to remembering all of the toys and such we either had or wanted.Always wanted a train layout and built a couple nice ones a few years ago..Since then it's pretty well been slot cars of one size or another..We usually set up a table for a couple of trains to run on along with some slots around Christmas time.The cars can be raced or can be put on auto so to speak..This year it is mostly Jouef slots.These jewels run great and are just fun to run ..They track more like a real car of their age..They will slide thru the curves with their superior guide system.Plus they look great with my Ol' Marx train from my Childhood..

Dave,that is about when my Dad and Mom gave me mine..
Not a real collector item for sure but one I would never sell. :D
I think it cost them about $15- 18 bucks in 66.A big part of my dad's pay check at the time..
It being a so-called cheap Marx set,it just runs and runs and runs...
If I had been given slots at the time they would have been Eldon.
Just like the Marx trains,they just run and run plus an average to lower income family could almost afford a set.
Glad you all like the toys...Every time I smell the ozone from the cars and trains it reminds of Christmas..
