$3.00 is a reasonable price for a set of gears. SCC has adapters to 1.5mm. :)

great tip on the sleeves, Randy, thanks!
i really like the artin gears, they are quiet and smooth.
and the deegan cars have a really nice neodym magnet under them and a motor with brakes! quite different from the stock artin motor, that motor works great on a wood track @ 12V!
