Wow! That's awesome! I like the size of it. I don't think I've ever seen a rally track so large. A few of the turns appear to be quite tight or is the car just losing traction?

Some of the turns are very tight, but it can be driven much better than that when I can hold the controller properly!

watching that video makes me want to have a hillclimb! it looks great, even it looks a little slippery :)
what paint did you use for your track surface?
That´s quite a way down if you miss a turn, right? Will you add some fencing or stone walls to stop a car from falling down? Or maybe simply pad the bottom of the shed with foam all over ;)
The little Fiat is a great car, makes me smile remembering it :D

The average lap time is around 35 seconds Munter, the fastest lap so far is around 25 seconds, which I think will drop as cars develop.

Peter, the white sections are gloss paint to make it slippery, and the grey sections semi-gloss.

There are small walls around most of the turns, just like the 1/1 Col de Turini, but they are not really needed. If cars 'lose it' on a turn, they just spin and stay where they are!

That looks like a lot of fun. Kind of cool that the cars will just spin out on the corners rather than do the high diving act. How long of lane did you end up with?

Not sure if it was dusty, the condition of the tires or how many laps you've run, but once you get a couple hundred laps on it the driving line should clean up and start to rubber in a bit!

Still, if I am not mistaken this is your first routed track? Lloyd, the next will be MUCH better!

Thanks all. You are right Mas, it was very dusty before I wiped it for those runs, so it should settle, but will never be an easy drive. Easy is boring, I like a challenge but, when I am not trying to film it, I can usually do some good quick laps.

But each car is different and I am working on a standard/stock chassis that I can turn out in good numbers to get plenty more cars on there.

I am hosting a Carrera GO rally proxy in March, so I need to get my GO minis working well round there.
