A large box of cars has arrived. I won't be able to get to them until early next week as we're busy producing a two-day road rally for this weekend.

The cars have been unpacked. Found a nice selection of "spare parts".

I plan to run a Q session today with racing hopefully to be Thursday or Sunday.

Bob - been hot as heck. will finish up and post some time today I hope. Going to try and race tomorrow night.

The heat had been bad but the damn smoke is what killing me. Been coughing like crazy for the last 3 days :o

Ok, let's start with the problem cars, these cars would not make the start line as is:

Car #22 is a wreck. The first thing I noticed was the rear body post was broken loose. As soon as that was fixed I noticed the front body post was even worse and beyond my skill to try and repair it. It probably needs to be sent home for repair.




Next up, Car #33 must have been driven by Georgie Tire Biter as one of the rear tires is rubbing the body and starting to wear down. I am not sure the adjustment to repair. (Sorry about the poor picture)




The #51 car the rear wheels will not turn. A little probing with an allen driver may fix that one.




And finally, car #17 finished qualifying with a rattling, loose exhaust. The car should be opened and the piece re-attached or removed.




We are scheduled to run the race tomorrow night and I can probably get a couple of these back in the race, or we can hold the race while the others are repaired. I'll wait to hear on this.

And we have Q-results coming right up.

Times under 7 seconds make these some of the fastest proxy cars to visit the track.

Thanks for the very nice Q for my Lola Monte: I am most grateful! If it is anything like as hot and humid down your way as it is up here it must have been hard work getting all the cars qualified.

Interesting that the times between the top 5 cars are not as ridiculously tight as they have been recently. But then again: everything can (and normally does!) change once the racing starts! Good luck with the race itself.

Did car #2 have some problems? First time in 4 Rounds that I've seen a result like that...……… YIKES! :o
