Canfield Green Returns to Owner Can Am Cars

Hi lads
I have all the cars separated and the box to Allan is ready, and the Canadian entrants also ready to be packaged.
Here is the issue i have discussed with Allan.
Canada post emplyees rejected the latest offer from the employer.
There are currently hundreds upon hundreds of tractor trailers sitting in the postal sorting center, the warehouse already full. The back log is 5 times the normal, and we are still awaiting the christmas rush.
I have no problem sending the cars off, but wiTh full knowledge that they are going to sit in tractor trailers for quite some time.
My preference would be to await some positive action on the strike front before putting our cars at risk of damage or loss.
There is talk of a government back to work order in the near future, and worst case scenario i will be in the US as of January5th and could mail the US parcel from there.
My main concern is the safety of the cars.
Please let me know what your ideas and wishes are..
The Canadian cars are a toss up as to whether they go to a major sorting center or not. But i suspect anything leaving Ontario will go to some type of sorting center..
Kindest regards
Bob

Thanks for the run Chappy, and congrats to the runners.
It was worth it to see mine with its mate and the BRM, no doubt I was being overtaken!

I'm ok with the wait on the cars, they'll be warm and safe til January,

Then, get em bettered up for the next series,

Paul

Not sure about others but I can wait out the strike. No need to pay for express service (UPS/FedEx) even though I put in 43 years at Big Brown.

Hey Bob,
Regarding the return of the Canadian cars, you might investigate the cost of sending them via Purolator. I know Slot Car Corner Canada offers that delivery method as an option and the costs are usually pretty much the same as the Canada Post method, at least for shorter distances like between Quebec City and Montreal. I wonder if the same would hold true between Picton and the Quebec entrants (Christian and myself)?
Best Regards,
Stewart

The Zep Mobile can enjoy a Canadian Christmas, and return DownUnder when it is more prudent to do so......

Just let me know when it is on the move , so I have a basic idea of when to start looking for it......

Thanks!

I'd rather wait than have the cars sit frozen in a trailer

Stewart , Purolator is far too costly unless a corporate account is available.
I checked and it was minimum of $40 for ground service.Picton to Beaconsfield.
