Thanks for the update. Now lets see if the Mustang can finish higher than 9th on this track. Dariusz thanks for the kind words. Poles are for pictures. Need a win. Let's hope the #79 can take qualifying to winning. Hats off to all competitors.

The gear ratio is a little extreme :D

If you break the 1 minute mark you are flying. Shipped off all my Forums Cup cars today. They all broke the 1 minute mark. Last year only two cars cracked the 1 minute mark. GTOKing 57.82 secs and bwatkins 59.96 secs in the top tier COT class.

I wasn't sure the Dodge would get it done. Narrow and long. Crank up that Hemi and let's go racing. Feel free to open it up after the series ends. I forgot how I placed the weight in it. Not sure if I modeled it after Dariusz 2017 TransAm car or not. To many cars in to many proxies.

Hi:

Slight corrections with the cars that needed repairs. Car #7 in the modified needed all the wheels re-glued plus the rear spoiler. I will make this correction on the main qualification post.

The 2nd Round was run last night on the 65 foot, 4 lane Carrera track...I had forgotten what it was like to race on plastic with magnets... a lot of surprises in the results which will be posted asap, probably on Friday. I feel this is one of the more difficult proxies to build a car for due to the cars racing on wood and plastic. A compromise has to be made in terms of speed and performance, and some cars handle the wood better and the plastic just throws a loop into the mix. The modified division was also a challenge as there were no magnets and the urethanes seemed to slide a bit more on their plastic surface. The guy's at Idle Time Speedway in Edmonton were professional in driving all the cars. I Just thought I would put out a bit of a 'teaser' so keep tuned for more info.

It was an event to behold...plastic definitely is a whole different ball of wax to see running. Rubber tires with magnets, holy crap those cars were fast! If someone deslotted there was almost no time to shut 'er down and stop before piling into the wipe-out. We marshals were kept busy till the drivers got the hang of it. Fortunately it only took about one heat.
Only one car lost a wheel the whole night, and if I remember correctly it was a car from the modified class? So, those repairs that were done gluing the axles/wheels really set things straight.

So now the cars move on...have fun with them lads.
