I received a PM from Tom to advise that replacement tyres for the 3 cars that suffered "petrification" of the tyres are on their way. As soon as the tyres get here I will do the replacement and we will then run the next round. Currently the new round is scheduled for local member Perry's "Rocket" track. It is another painted MDF track but faster than Luf's Targa with more straights.

Depending on when the tyres get here we should be able to get this done in the next couple of weeks. Will update as things progress.

Will you be truing those tires once they're mounted?

I would like to comment that is asking way to much of the host to both mount and true these tires...just saying :twocents-mytwocents:
I suspect most of these tires in the stock class are less ideal at this time.

Just to let everybody know that the tyres arrived here on Friday while I was at work. I was not able to get around to mounting etc: will do this week. Will speak with the usual suspects to arrange the running of the next round.

OK, things seem to be set for next Sunday Nov 18. I will run the Q ahead of time and we will then run the actuial race immediately after.

And just to note: none of the three "hard-tyre afflicted" cars had the tyres glued, so I am just putting the new tyres on unglued as well and giving them a quick true.

looking forward to round 7, the affected cars should be back up on the pace once again with their new treads.

OK, all set for the round tomorrow. New tyres on the afflicted cars, track clean and well rubbered in after our regular Friday racing, people ready and waiting.

I will run the Q in the morning and the full round will be run immediately after.
