Two cars from Hawkes Bay NZ, are heading across the Pacific and the North American continent as of today.

Looks good Chas, less power = less torque so easier to drive and the tires will last longer too.

Not bad at all; in fact I think that NZ should be the epicenter for the next HRW proxy...…..what do you think? Kidding aside, it's great to see so much support from down under!

Just ran my Cobra for 2 hours at SCC. lap times started at 7.4 and by the end with a lot of tuning it was doing 4.6, Mostly tire setup with gear and motor break in. 1st time I set a car up on this track as my track is plastic.

Well i am down to the wheels. Clearance is an issue on this frogeye so may need very thin tires and wheels and not too tall either.
I have a plan , and have some wheels , but havent found the right tires just yet.
But I'm betting that I will find the right ones I hope lol.
Thick resin around the inside of the wheel wells.

You could file/sand the thick resin down and gain more tire clearance in the process; resin sands easily.

If thats allowable Allan. It would be inside the body.

It's allowable, Bob. As long as the outside of the body is accurately representative of the car that you're modeling, you can trim/sand/grind down the inside to lighten it or to gain clearance for moving parts. That is often done with resin bodies.
