Two things that stay the same year after year. My cars dont stand a chance and everyone else's get better and better!!! Making the choice very hard!

I took some time with this one. Retro Racer was really pulling on my heart strings,and it is a fine car but in the end I voted for another that really grabbed my attention.

A very fine group with many choices that would be worthy winners.

While we all have our personal favorites, the overall results of the 2017 Showdown Series are simply outstanding! We would like to pass along a "Well Done!" to everyone who participated and built these amazing cars.

Next we would like to say "Thank you" to everyone who used our products in their builds - we appreciate your support! It's always exciting (and at the same time humbling) to see the creative ways our products are used in these builds. Many of you have reached out to us with feedback and suggestions. Rest assured your feedback and suggestions are not falling on deaf ears - we've got some exciting products in the pipeline aimed squarely at the scratch building community.

I appreciate the kudos fellas, but I sent this car only because Harry requested it for people to enjoy, It was not built for this fun run, and is not legal buy the rules. :text-thankyouyellow:

He is correct. I did request that the Mustang stay here and race.

As featured in the gallery, it was a "Special Run".

I wanted to see the performance balance and judge the feedback by the veteran builders of our small series on allowing sidewinder for the future.

I allowed the car to be raced because I wanted feedback from the local drivers as well.

The model is included in this gallery because of the modeling and detail level on the outside. Given the fact it is a hand crafted car from the ground up, I thought it deserved the right to be voted on.

The car was not to be allowed an overall win of the Fast Lap or actual Race. If it had out performed the others, the second place car would have been listed at the top of the results tables. Since it did not, I simply left the placement it had in the report.

Did not mean to upset the ye olde apple cart if I did.

A fun run is a fun run. For me the goal of any spec rules is to ensure some equality. An out of spec that still runs in the same bracket meets my expectation of the spirit of the race

My car was out performed by this out of spec car but I have zero issue with it because the times it posted were in the same bracket as the "spec" cars
