Those of you building the AMT Camaro for the trans am race, might run into some ride height issues if using the full interior tub. I wanted to have a full interior in mine , with full driver figure. As those with this kit know, it a multiple piece tub as Todd had stated in his post. I found that during the test fit stages of my build, that the car sat a bit to high in the front, and a little to high overall for my liking. I assembled my tub, then took it over to my bench belt sander, I removed approximately 1/8" from the front of the tub, with a taper to the rear. this gave me the stance I wanted, and also a very flat mounting area. Now I know everyone does not have a bench mounted belt sander, so I took another similar kit, and tried the same thing with a sticky back sanding disc, I simply stuck it to a flat space on my bench, and gently took it back and forth, holding the tub at the angle I wanted. it worked just fine, but took a bit longer. the first picture shows the taper at the bottom of the tub, you can see the runner is full height at the rear, taper to the base of the interior tub.

I am not covering the motor in this car, just painting the top of it to match the interior color. its very hard to see in these cars, so the extra cooling will be nice. The overall stance on my car now has that aggressive T/A look that we all love.
