Not wanting to have a solo racer when the series was done - I started a second build using a kit I had on hand...



This kit offered up some added challenges - like the molded in side trim on the fenders and the blower engine - but I think I have work arounds for both... :)

The side trim was removed via time with a scraper and sand paper - the blower scoop is being treated to a soak in ammonia to remove the chrome and then it will get sectioned and mounted onto a piece of stryrene, painted flat black and added to the hood to simulate a skaker hood.

Base coat of metallic "Autumn Maple" has been laid down...



On to detail painting and decals for this one as well!

Some simple decals added along with a little detail painting - after decals dry over night, it will be on to clear coat action tomorrow!
