Ok, so maybe these are not for everybody. But i must say, this car is fun as it gets! I used some old aluminum narrow wheels, and stuck some urethane Eldon copies all the way around. Motor is unkown 13,5k slimcan. I used an old scalextric crown and rear axle, 3/32 front. the guide is printed , using scc braid. the driver figure (temporary) is from an old pioneer car. he's to modern, but the scale is good. I have since looked at some Eldon wire wheels for these, and they are a good size, but use the 1/8th axle unless bushed. might try them on the next one. The car has made 100 laps, turning 9.500's. A good time on my track with a slot it LMP is right at 8.000, so i figure its doing great. A pair of these would be an absolute riot to race. I am a sucker for vintage open wheel race cars, and there arent many from this era of racing that i know of. So now i can have as many as i want. I would not be ashamed to put this car up against any printed slot cars running similar motors.
