Thanks for the heads up, I'll be checking my printer today to get some more life out of it. Not sure of the hours on mine but its squeezed out more than 12 reels of the 3mm 2.2 kilo reels of assorted colors of ABS. Maybe I'll finish the enclosure this weekend that I started on when I was on medical leave for 2-1/2 months.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on maintenance. What a difference it made to clean out the extruder head, clean off the bearing rods, and cleaned up the Hobb bolt that feeds the filament. I'm back into printing now.

Yup, they are not maintenance free....little bits of plastic fuzz seem to get everywhere. Performance is so much better with a little care and feeding!

I found out something with mine also. The nozzle wears out after four years and over 12 rolls of filament. Replaced the brass 0.50mm nozzle with a stainless steel 0.50 nozzle and the fuzz and drizzle is gone. I read on Amazon in the reviews that the brass nozzles wear out faster so that's why I went with the stainless steel version.

Yup, I have the hardened steel nozzle because I do glow in the dark, and plan to do wood and carbon fiber all of which are much more abrasive.
