Carrera modern 1/24 motor designation?

Postby noddaz » Sun Jan 24, 2016 8:17 pm

Does the motor (silver can) used in modern Carrera cars have an actual industry designation?

Just curious more than anything else...

Plafit make a motor that is a swap for the Carrera motor - they call it the Bison 18D - their other motors are Fox and Rabbit - so the Bison name is linked to that but the 18D may be a designation like 16D motors

cheers

The industry designation for the motor Carrera uses is FK-280. FC-280 is different from FK-280 but can sometimes be interchanged. The Bison motor is an FK-280 motor too. 18D is the slot car designation, but FK-280 is the designation for motor manufacturers.
