Getting close on this one! A few more little things and its time to motor up. I had changed my motor size in this class from The piranha to the H&R Lightning. these cars just beg for a powerhouse motor. At 40k with 9/33 gears, they are sweet! I built a rear wing out of brass for the others im building, but got called on my rear wing not matching my fronts. So I built a full rear wing for this one out of brass too!

Bob!!! I'm dying over here!! I am loving the work on the Indy cars.
I've bought many to build for static display, now I'm really interested in making some running cars.

Putting the finishing touches on this one. Just added some Gopher tire decals and profiled my Shotgun Dave urethanes to look more Indy style. This car is coming out pretty good to my eyes. Should get some laps in yet tonight!

You are right. I do remember those days. Back when it was a battle between manufactures of all types and not basically an IROC race.
