Back in the 'golden age' of slot car racing, DuBro marketed 1/24 pre-painted butyrate Corvette GS, Cheetah, Willys 'Gasser', and maybe a few other style bodies. They were painted from the inside, candy colors with silver backing coat. Unfortunately, most that you find today -- even in excellent condition -- are slightly yellowed. It's just the nature of that type of material. They were really cool looking when new, just add some decals and mount 'em onto your favorite chassis. This was, of course, before LEXAN was produced and became the standard for vacuum-formed slot bodies. I may have one or two buried in a box somewhere in my collection, I'd have to do some digging to be sure. Maybe you can find some examples on one of the internet auction sites.
Accurate Miniatures has a nice 1/24 styrene plastic model kit that I've seen made into a good looking slot car racer.
Just throwin' it out there... Ernie
