I had to splurge on Carrera's European only release. Ever since I saw the pics from the Nurnberg show I had to have one. I was just one of those cars that draws you in. Like a few people I was disappointed to find out later that it was to be a Euro only release which means almost a 50% increase in price but that's including shipping. That being said it is everything I expected. The paint is beautiful.

That scheme even makes that car look good.
Nice score.

That looks fantastic.
dw5555- What vendor did you buy that through? (you can mention any site in this forum, in case you're wondering if it's permitted)
It's hard to believe that a Gulf livery wouldn't be a world-wide release. They always sell, regardless of what car it is. I like this Porsche, but all D124 liveries that have been released in the US so far just aren't my style. However, I do have the soon to be released gummi-bear car on order. :D

The car looks beautiful! I would also like to know the vendor since I plan on getting one.
Best regards,

I guess Carrera has licensing issues with Gulf(?) so it can't be produced here. Too bad, I think it would sell well here. I found the car with several retailers overseas but communications were an issue.
That being said in a round about way I bought it off our (US) eBay. I happened to notice a retailer from Germany selling all brands of slots (but not this car) so I emailed him asking if he had this car and he did. Maybe the same licensing issues keeps him from listing the car so I had to purchase the car outside of eBay with a PayPal payment to him personally. I was having 2nd thoughts but went through with it. 12 days later the car arrived. :D It's funny how you throw caution to the wind when you really want something..
Search Ebay for sellers: Slotcar143
remember the car is not listed on eBay, you will have to send him a message. His name is "Jens"
By the way the car was 92 Euros ($105) shipped to the house.

It's us. Gulf's licenses are the issue. We do licensing... on EVERYTHING. If you see other companies doing Gulf colors here it's likely that it's unlicensed.
