Hell yeah! Open wheeled D124! That is perfect.

Great job on that conversion. Did you guys chop the stock chassis to accommodate the chip, or build something new? Please give us a peek under the hood.

And like usual, your repaint is top-notch. Great work, Bruce!

Here's a quick run down of what he did.

He used ScaleAuto fronts and rears. My fronts are trimmed down Protrack since that's all I had. The rear tires are silicone that we make here at Cincyslots.

He trimmed the 1/32 chipped to fit around the motor. Be sure you add the tape to prevent any short due to exposed chips innards. Hot glue the motor in place. You can see on the chip, he also rewired the guide and motor wires.

He then had to drill out the hole for the new guide flag.

Next and last, I think, he moved the sensor from the chip to the front suspension. He made a brass bracket using flat stock and tubing. It's hard to see since he painted it black to, well, blend in. I think he nailed it. These cars are so much fun to drive!!! I'm so thankful for his generosity.

Wow. A lot of effort went in to that! Thanks for sharing. Moving that sensor is a great idea.

They look like they are a blast to run, and stick to the track very well considering there aren't magnets. Magless open-wheeled racing with 6 cars on the track is going to be crazy!

Nice!!! Maybe this will encourage Carrera to consider making some F1 cars in D124.
