Does anyone know where to buy brass rear brackets for 1/24 cars? I got my last lot from slotcarhotrod but from what I understand from my last order earlier in the year they are no longer.
Also has anyone ever seen a sidewinder brass bracket? I have some cars I want to build with a sidewinder setup. I usually use MJK chassis for the job & are perfect but $30 for a bare chassis gets expensive. Now I have my Razor Jig I have no excuses to build my own chassis. Im guessing I will have to make my own sidewinder brackets but I think they are a great idea.

JK Products makes brass motor brackets in 3/4 inch and 1 inch widths. WRP also makes 1 inch motor
brackets. The WRP brackets are a little taller and are better if you are using full scale diameter wheels.
I use the 1 inch brackets for wide 1/24th cars like Can-Am, and the 3/4 inch wide brackets for 1/32nd
cars and 1/24th F-1.
Most commercial slot tracks have these. You can get the JK brackets direct from Jerry. Most brackets
are $5 to $6.

P.S. Mike Swiss at Chicagoland Slot Raceway has sidewinder brackets.

I make my own using K&S brass 1\2 X .062 I was thinking about milling some from bar, but that would cost more, but they would be very good......

Smith Scale Speedway still shows a Sargent (Ferret) inline motor bracket on their website under chassis parts. I'd contact them to see if they actually have them.

Pretty much everyone racing in IRRA is using the JK brackets, including me. I also use them in my sprint
and indy cars. If they are good enough for the "pros", they are good enough for me.

Mike Swiss has them made special for retro pro cars. You can go to his website Chicagoland Raceway and click
on "shop" in the left column. That will link you to Old Weird Herald's commercial parts forum. Scroll down to
"angle winder versa-bracket" for pictures of the bracket. You can connect to him via his web site or PM him from
OWH.
