Searching ebay for a kit and stumbled on these for sale in Taiwan with free shipping to Australia :banana-dance: . Chassis are extended Womps, motors are original Mabuchi 16's I've had hanging around since the '60's but gave ém a cleanup and they rev pretty hard. Wheels and rear tyres are Pattos and used the kit tyres on the front and the kit wheels were shaved down to make the inserts.

Nice. :text-bravo: I really like the 1/24th side of things. Gives me a lot of satisfaction building the chassis and bodies and then racing them compared to the 1/32 stuff which is typically just a buy and race concept.

I agree on the scale appeal, well done.

Using your classic motors also upped the cool factor. Good call.

Nice set of cars and it is hard to beat the extended womp frames for simple nice running cars. I've built 3 cars for our group using Womps extended and with matching brass plate underneath the frame. They really stick to the track and out handle the regular H&R that is standard where we race. I've started mounting the bodies with two brass tubes soldered across the frame and sticking thru holes in the side of the body. That allows nice body float and you can take a body off in a second with no screws to fool with. I like the womps and wonder why Parma nave made an extended version. I do think there is somebody making a similiar frame now that is 2 piece.
