RMS Stocker ready for battle!

My only 1/24th car is a 1965 Corvette on an H&R chassis - well, knowing it would look a little silly running against Shotgun's fabulous Ford and the awesome cars Pickles put together I decided it was time for a change.

Enter a glue bomb I built as a teen. What started as a 1969 Chevelle was changed to a 1968 thanks to my friend Shawn casting the correct flat hood, tail panel and grille and bumper. I still used the '69 rear bumper as the '68 has gone missing...but I digress.

Not a great build by my standards, but knowing how hard these guys all race at HRW, not an issue...I ahem, "re-enforced" several area with hot glue.

The decals were 25+ years old and since I just decided to do this the other day I had no time to get others - so they cracked no matter what I did lol.

No matter, I'm happy to have a Chevelle to run and hope I can just keep the field behind me!

Bring it on!!!

Very cool, Dave. Has this one been to Germany like your 1:1? Not a big stock car guy but I like this one. Cracked decals? Didn't see it.

Glad you like it - notice I didn't do any close-ups ;)

Rob - I like car colors from the '60's and '70's. I'm weird that way. At the Chevellebration a few years ago I was the guy geeking out over the odd green colors. Don't see many any more as people painted them "cooler" colors.

TsgtRet - it HAS been to Germany, just like my 1:1 - good call!

I'm glad to see this one come to the top again. What are those paints, David? I think I have the hood right with Testors Phoenician yellow, but what is that baby sh*t brown color? I want to use it. My in-laws had a Malibu in that color in the 80s.
