Foam tires for Carrera

Anyone successfully replaced the wheels/tires on a Carrera 1/24 car to rubber to run (better) on wood? If so, what did you do?

We use cincyslot and Paul urethane Tyres on our 1/24 Carrera and they go fine on wood tracks we are currently running with the magnets on magnabraid.

If you wanted to buy new wheels they have 3mm rear axle so Plafit or Scaleauto wheels will fit.

Some of our guys have tossed the plastic chassis and built solid brass or H&R chassis and run silicone coated Protrack tires. They like using Cox Chaparral wheels for inserts.
