A 1:1 car mag described that Torino as looking like a "land-sucked tuna".
After all these years, I kinda like it.

I think Bobby Allison drove that car at Daytona in the late 70's. It had a well known owner or crew chief whose name escapes me.

Bud Moore.
Later 78 & 79 T-Birds that I know of.

This car (the kit shown) is iconic in that it's the car Isaac "heard voices" in. Talledega, and he stopped and got out.

I was proud of that. I mistakenly sprayed it with a satin clear after I worked so hard on it. I resprayed it with a proper clearcoat and then took the picture. It was a very difficult evening... with lots of libidinous beverages. Hoohah!

This was my first car as a teenager. I bought it for $450. It sat beside the barn until I could then save enough money for insurance. I would set in it and pretend to be driving.
It had this cool hood scoop that I still remember looking over as I drove. It was brown with brown interior. They do not make brown cars much anymore. Rear visibility was poor. It had 351 Cleveland with 2 barrel carb. I ended up hitting a tree and ruining it.
I will buy one and make a street car out of it. There is a guy at missing link resins that sells the street parts to complete it.
Thanks for the heads up!

The General picked it up from the scratch and dent discount bin at the LHS. Thinking my own chassis for kicks.

I learned a strange thing with that car. The wheelbase and the weight distribution presented an odd handling situation. You wouldn't think a plastic shell would do that, but it did. The car needed a slight forward placement of the center of gravity that other 1/25th cars didn't need. I was using an H&R chassis for these at that time. It has a terrific tail out path when you get the weight balance right. One of my favorite cars to run at high speed.

I didn't need to get back to these :)
But I am.
You seen these that Paul has?

Oh, did I mention CB Design is making a new wheel? Oh...that was a secret. Don't spread that around.

Someone must have been at Mark Twain.
I got one there on the 3rd.

Yes it was there. Went back today and grabbed the Allison kit to go with it.
