Have to say I enjoyed building the Cuda so much my son's and I have made a list of more Trans Am cars to build this is the next one on the bench a 69 Javelin came from an old Johan promo model I found it on e-bay pretty cheap it was defiantly used cracked back window and missing tail light hence the cheap. There is something about these cars (AMC's) that always intrigued me maybe it's the red white and blue colors not sure but couldn't resist building this into another Trans Am Racer!

Here is a good tip on making 1/24th scale headlamp covers plain old hole punch and .030 sheet Styrene

That's going to be a looker! Those AMC cars are hard to find. You are doing that one proud for sure.

Those sweeping body contours are tough to capture - and, lots of those promotional models warped with time. Super build! Good luck with the multi-step masking.

Now that the Collision repair business is starting to slow down a little bit here in the north east I can finally find some time here to finish up some projects first one I want to get back to is the Javelin I have the interior tub pretty much done the sheet plastic work is all set will take just a little putty some sanding and I'll have to make a roll bar for it. The body I finished sanding this morning I sanded the emblems cleaned up the edges and primed it came out really good I'm looking forward to putting the colors on it!

1969 was the best year for styling on the Javelin, and I was amazed that Scalextric didn't notice that. They make decisions about US cars that never fail to be amazing to me, including really good decisions from time to time.

Well Finally had a chance to get some color on this decals and some bare metal foil trim are next I just mocked it together get an idea what it will look like done.

Oh wow! Great job at masking and beautiful finish on that paint.
