I am probably the only one not tired of seeing posts of Midget racers. I put together another one this weekend, and figured I would share it for those who like them. Same resin cast body from the 1/25 revel kit. Motor is a BWA slimcan, using cox 9/31 gears set. Slotting plus guide, with SCC braid.
Tires on the rear are urethane copies of the Kit tires, while the fronts are cutdown rubber versions that came on the pro track wheels.
Color is Testors light Blue with Flame decals from the kit. Chassis is of course brass, as are the bars and exhaust.Driver figure is a combination of Resin cast from the Monogram Indy Kurtis, using the head from a very old marx car. Windshield is cut from a clear plastic tube from packaging. Decals are bin picks. Nothing fancy, just another Midget for my track. Note: I have since straightened out the aluminum ferrule intakes! LOL

Very cool. I have 5 Monogram 1/24 World of Outlaws kits. I am think about doing something like you have done, When a get I get some time. If not maybe just sell them. Keep posting, I like seeing your builds. It may get me motived. Is there some pictures of how you do the chassis somewhere on this site? REL13

You can build a square tube slider chassis for those 1/24 Outlaw kits. just add some bars to the front and sides, or use the kit roll bars attached to the brass frame.

Or you can get really busy and do this.

Good god Bob is this your full time job? It seems like every other day you're posting a new build. I envy your skills. Keep up the great work and your dedication to the hobby..
