I got tired of looking at this stuff being half built and am trying to finish and tidy up a bunch! These are all vac bodies built to race on my track. A littel finishing to do with wheel inserts and trim out the Simoniz, but mostly they are about done and run great. The Simoniz is actually and old Kurtis 500 body and not the correct Watson it should be. I wanted to use the body and they are actually a pretty close design. After hitting the floor a few times it won't matter much.

egg on my face for the side decal placement on these cars. It wasn't till I had them declled set next to the red car did I realize I put the number roundels on the doors and not the rear tail. Both cars have already been dipped in future!

Hey Matt, Nice work with those Indy cars. Look good; look authentic. One of my favorite class, the"Monza" class.


I wanted to add a 1/24 1959-60 Watson to my open wheel collection but the only Watson was an AMT 1/25 model. Too small to be competitive, So I cut away a 1/24 Monogram Kurtis nose then with piano wire glued as "rebar" running longitudinally with a liberal amount of Devcon Plastic Welder grafted to the Monogram Kurtis the 1/25th AMT Watson nose, applied some Tamiya putty, did some sanding, and voila! a 1960 1/24th Watson.
