I have an old motor from Mura that looks just like that first pic.

This motor is a Mura C-can, perhaps 10-12 years old, maybe newer, since they're still being made. Mura put a variety of different arms in these motors over the years. There should be a tag on the arm between a couple stacks indicating what it is. From the length of the stack, I'm guessing this one is a Challenger 2.

The motor shown as a Champion/Parma is actually a Proslot motor, also sold under other labels, such as Champion/Parma & Kelly.

They were first used in wing cars, later use was flexis & other scale cars. Today, they're not too popular because they are heavy when compared to some of the other c-cans on the market. They are good motors & I still have mine.

A club I raced with back in the late 70's had a rule that limited the cars to no wider then 2 and 3/4 inches. We were running on a Revell track witch was wider then most so we could get by with cars that wide. I believe most 1/32 scale cars were only 2 and 1/4 inches wide at the time from the factory to maybe 2 and 1/2 inches wide max.
