For those looking for 12 volt motors to repower Carrera cars, the Auto Art 14101-07 motors are back in stock.
Auto Art has them in stock and Electric Dreams no longer shows them as 'Temporarily Out Of Stock'.

Is the AA motor a 130, 180, 260, or 280 motor?

I'm not familiar with the Auto Art motors. Are they more powerful -or- less powerful than what comes stock in the Carrera cars (the Cheetah in particular)?
I need a bit more zip out of mine on that 144' road course I run it on as the current motor seems to have decent speed, but really seems lacking in the torque/acceleration department when comparing it to the Scalextric classic GT cars as an example.

Hmmmm - that may explain some things! I didn't realize that the Carrera motors were 18V - that could be why they seem a bit doggy on the same voltage that we are running our Scalextric cars at...
I may have to look into the Auto Art motor change as a way to wake my Cheetah up! :D
Thank you for the additional insight!
