Do you have a link?

Ive been tempted to buy a Matra 630 and thats expensive as well. We run a 1/24 LeMans enduro race and the cars can only be up to and including1968, which makes it hard to run anything different from a GT40 or Ferrari 330P4. I found a Porsche 906 which I am doing up now. Always on the look out for something different.

Wow those cars are built by master modellers!!!! Saw the Lola T70 Coupes made by selected modellers but i could not see where to buy it. Ouch at the price, 160 Euro. Makes the $145 for the Matra seem cheap. Why do so few mainstream model makers cover this era? Bummer.

If you search e-bay germany, occasionally a cheaper T70 may appear-usually in resin or fibreglass, but not as good as the Fein design bodies. Just keep looking! 1/24th is very popular in Germany and some of the stuff you can get is superb-but check ;not all sellers will post worldwide.

Put me in the column of people looking for an affordable T70 body. I'd prefer a regular MkIII and not a MKIII B, but I'd love to see either one. Even a model kit would do, but there doesn't seem to be any of those. There are plenty of open-top CanAm versions though.

There was a plastic kit of the T70 years ago. I think it was by Mitsuwa. Unfortunately, its quite rare and as I recall not very good anyway. There was talk of a kit by Accurate Miniatures just after they released the Mclaren M8, but nothing ever appeared. We will just have to carry on waiting.....

I went searching on google. There was a resin T70 by exact replicas (I think thats what it was called??? My memory is carp). I got all hopeful and then found another site that said they had gone bust in 2010. Tamiya make a 1/12th scale and they only wanted about $110. But its 1/12th scale and not 1/24th. Why make it in 1/12th????? and not 1/24th?

I think that was Mini Exotics. No longer in production as you say. I'm not sure it was suitable for conversion, anyway. Carrera make a Porsche 917K and a Ferrari 512S in 1/24th , so who knows? There's certainly no shortage of liveries for the T70-could be worth them making one........

Hi Rick
This is probably a long shot but send Werner at Ace Hobbies( he's a sponsor over on Auslot) an e-mail with your enquiry. He may not have what you are looking for but he may have a useful contact in the palfit/scale racing world who might be able to assist.

Rick, Betta do a 1/24th Lola T-70 GT MK3. You have to buy two, one is a vac. formed that supplies the windows etc. and the other is white plasticard.

Just a thought. (Hope the link works).

Chris.

Thanks for all the help guys!! My modelling skills arent good enough to transform a vac form into a resin car. Profil24 make a few nice cars. Got my eye on the Matra 630 as a possibility. Fisher does a nice Porsche 907/8. Would love a Lola T70 III though.

Got my hands full getting the Porsche 906/6 ready and the NART Ferrari 412P for this years race. Anything else will be for nexts years assault.
