Suggestions on how to straighten a warped body?

I think it's been posted here before, but I can't find a topic on it.

I recently picked up an AMT Ertl Ferrari 512 BB model from 1988. It was still sealed, but the box was smooshed a bit and sure enough, the body was slightly compacted and twisted. The plastic is not broken.

:?: Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how to put this body back straight? Hot water? Oven? Hair dryer? What works best?
Is it even possible?

Thanks!

Difficult but possible. I use a hot glue to pin the body flat then heat with a blow dryer.

If you don't pin the body, you risk doing more harm than good. The bodies tend to "curve" in on you.

Take your time is the best advice.

So just take something flat, such as a 1/24 SCC set up block, hot glue the body to it at four corners, and then start up the hair dryer?

That sounds almost too easy! Thanks for the tip.
