We were able to scrounge up enough folks to hold qualifying at Clover Leaf Racing on the wood track. The cars were unpacked and tires cleaned up for a 10 lap qualifying. We had some pretty knowledgable folks in the building, so the comments were a mix of the driver's thoughts and the observations of others. Didn't have a chance to get any photos, but here is one of the track.


Race day is still TBD.

Until then, here are the qualifying results.

Hoping my Cuda can push into the top 10. 4 tenths is a stretch but I have seen it done.
Congratulations to Audi1, Stevee, and Smokeio.

I wonder how many of the top ten are on Rubber vs Urethane? In testing at home of my 3 Cudas the times were about the same. But the #48 ran 60 laps 4 seconds faster than my other two. A bit disappointed with it's performance to date.

Your car and mine have been fighting it out down around 7th place. Is this track by any chance the track your car was tuned on? If so, I guess you will be leaving me in the dust!

Great qualifying run, Audi 1, SteeveeW and Sir Smokieo. Looks like a possible shake up in the standings can happen that's what makes it fun. Good luck on raceday. Probably a tire rub on the 33, race on.

Hi:

I see from the qualifying that there might be an issue with the gear rubbing....let me know if the clearance is too low and I can get the car back to see if I can clear up the issue....I don't want the crown gear to ruin the surface of the track.

Results are in! Sorry for the delay, but the race has been run and cars will be ready to ship to the next venue this weekend. Without further ado...

Well Thanks to all who ran this segment. See my #48 finished in the middle of the pack. Not bad but not good either.

Congratulations to Steve, Audi1and Smokeio on their podium finishes.

Thanks for the run, dropped a few spots from were I have been but I still take a top 10 finish. not bad for a rookie to the proxy. off to the next round....any thoughts one what I could do to improve the set up ????

I guess they are heading out west to sunny SoCal, following the same path as the CanAm cars.

Looking forward to this lot, it's going to be a great summer of patio racing for us.
