Richard, that's a clean & neat looking brass chassis...shake and bake mini oven nearby for the tyres and you are almost ready to go!

(is that a Chinese take-out box on the scale..??)

The big question is....Can you return to the success of the 2017? season when the black Capri out qualified me (and robbed me of the series win..!!) at my home track?

After I moved the pod from my Scaleauto Corvette to the Lambo I built up a new SW pod with regular spherical bearings. Also used one of my new NSR 28K motors. I prepared a new set of tyres for the car (still urethanes) and finished putting everything together this afternoon. It was a bit rushed and, based on the fact that the previous pod chattered in the Corvette and ran well in the Huracan I was not too optimistic as it seemed the problem had to be in the chassis. So off to Luf's for our weekly racing.

And what a pleasant surprise. With just a bit of lead on the pod and no further fine tuning I was able to do a 6.064 second lap. I think that is very promising for a car with urethane tyres. Also the car is still very light (77g) and I have not experimented with pod adjustment or anything: just ran the car as I put it together and "bench tuned": just set it up as best I could.

Maybe a sub-6 second lap is not totally out of the question....

Hi Guys

Hope you are all busy building some very fast cars, rumour has it that the Can-Am proxy want's to steal our "fastest proxy in the world" label....little do they know that our people will be calling their people on the trade mark infringement! :D

I am posting to ask for your support and co-operation. I have spoken to a few of my trusted group of "advisers" and thought it best to clear the air on something.

When entering a car into this proxy the expectation is that you will build the car that you are entering yourself. You assemble and test the car. Getting advise and support from another person is 100% legit, even buying a chassis from a known chassis builder is great, but the expectation is that you, the entrant, will ultimately be responsible for assembling the car and choosing the components. .

I have no way of checking for this, and I have absolutely NO information that this might be happening, I am only asking that each entrant keeps to the spirit of the contest and enter their own car.

Hopefully this makes sense, please feel free to post your comments below.

How do you prove which is fastest? Do they race on the same tracks? Which has set the fastest lap if they do?
