I'm thinking it's a bit of a treat to have my car running on such a great looking track and set-up.....

That's an awesome track Rob! It's got everything a great slot car track needs - broad sweepers, esses, tight corners, long straights. And what a superb execution! My favorite!

Thanks for the nice comments regarding the track. MID-BC runs very nice and smooth and the track is very addicting as it takes a good drive to get a perfect lap. Marshaling a large wide track was taken into account in the planning process thus the frame cut-outs so all cars can be marshaled efficiently. Live marshaling will take place with no track calls needed unless there is an emergency.
So your Can-Am cars have arrived.....thank you Smokeio for shipping so quickly after your round. With my work schedule plus a vacation coming up I do not have free time in the next four weeks so in order to keep this Proxy running efficiently and interest levels high we will run the round this Sunday. Dodgefarmer, Lez, Leadfoot, Ken, and several others have responded they can make it.
MID-BC is a Rubber / Urethane tire only track. The majority of testing has been on rubber tires the last while in my attempts to build a GT3 Proxy car. I will still make sure for Sunday's race all lanes have had numerous rubber tire laps ran with masking tape tire cleaning previous to the race with my own practice cars so your cars will have maximum traction.
Oh yes....I will record a video when I qualify either today (most likely!) or tomorrow so the entrants can see how their car runs on MID-BC. I might run my GT3 proxy car afterwards to see how my potential GT3 entry will compare after running these very fast Can-Am cars......I will need to overcome the potential embarrassment but I will survive!
In regards to MID-BC benchmarks....the Group 5 Proxy race was held here in June and qualifying had Camber win pole at 6.849s. The race itself had Camber with the fastest lap at 6.768s. Only three cars qualified under the 7 second threshold and only two cars had fastest laps under 7 seconds during the race.

Very cool track and photos. Still love the looks of that 2J, despite it apparently having been knocked out of tune. Hoping for better results on this longer track. Not likely but hoping.
